Greensboro Daily News

The Greensboro Daily News was a morning newspaper owned by Landmark Media Enterprises that served the Greensboro area of North Carolina, including the counties of Guilford, Rockingham, and Randolph. The Daily News was the morning paper for the Greensboro metropolitan area, while the Daily Record, a paper owned by the Daily News, was the afternoon paper for the area.  The two papers merged in 1982 to form the News & Record with morning and afternoon papers, and in 1986 the morning paper was ended, leaving one afternoon edition (News & Record).
